Why:
NFLNickPlay became a necessary destination and companion piece during Nickelodeon’s partnership with the NFL. It provided a digital component for engaging and educating young football fans (and prospective fans). The site offered a variety of interactive content, including weekly pick ‘em sheets, collectible badges, recaps, trivia, photo slideshows, and highlight clips - all of which lead up to the yearly broadcasts on Nickelodeon. These co-broadcasts with CBS featured Wild Card Games (Bears vs. Saints, Cowboys vs. 49ers) and Holiday games (Rams vs. Broncos).
